Engine exchange Marea - 16-04-2009, 11:45
I found out the hard way that my 1998 1,8 AC marea did not have the drivebelt changed afterall. At 178000 km it broke and I guess the engine is damaged beyond repair.
I have already a simular 2001 model on hand and I am thinking of removing some spare parts and throw the rest.
As an alternative I see there is a 2.0 20v engine used for sale. I would love to have this engine in the 2001 Marea and use the 1.8 engine to replace the broken one. Will the 2.0 engine fit in without major complications ore is there many other things (gearbox, exhaust other than the manifoil, drive axels, hoses, alternator, electronics)that must be changed to make this work.

Marea weekend 1.8 AC 2001
